Opening Night
Connexion: exploring ideas through art, opening show was a great success. Over 300 guests attended which included prominent Atlanta community members from the business, academia as well as civic organizations. Amongst the guests were Liane Levitan, former CEO of the DeKalb County; Etta Cohen, Senior Vice President, BB&T, Professor Ameen Farooq, Chair Architecture Department, Southern Polytechnic State University and many more.
The works manifested the opening theme of the gallery to address contemporary issues facing us today, through site-specific installation art, paintings, photography, furniture, sculpture and product design. The artists were present to share their inspiration with the guests. All in all the opening night was a great success and represented the vision of the gallery to bridge the gap between art, architecture and the built environment.
