Saleh Uddin » Introduction
Dr. M. Saleh Uddin is a professor of Architecture at Southern Polytechnic State University in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also the founding head of the new Architecture program at American International University-Bangladesh. In the very recent past he was the coordinator of graduate program in Design with Digital Media in the Department of Architectural Studies, University of Missouri-Columbia. He teaches architectural design studios and graphic communication in both manual and digital media. With four publishsed books in the global market by McGraw-Hill and John Wiley, Dr. Uddin is a pioneering leader—not only as a leading figure in the field, but as a leading figure internationally that promotes the value of digital media in architecture and interior design. Testaments to the impact of his work, three of his books were translated into Chinese and two in Spanish. Dr. Uddin has also served as the Editor of Representation, The National Journal of the Design Communication Association. Dr. Uddin and his students have received numerous accolades that included the AIA (American Institute of Architects) d esign award, first prize in a national competition, and winning entries in the Form-Z competition for two years. He himself has received the prestigious Award of Excellence from the American Society of Architectural Perspectivists and has been honored for teaching excellence in his institutions. In the past he had held teaching positions at University of Missouri-Columbia, Southern University, Savannah College of Art & Design, and Kent State University. |
